HISTORY

A BRIEF HISTORY of the CENTRAL BOWLS DIVISION

The Central Bowls Division was officially formed when the Central Bowls Association (Men formed in 1925) and Central District Ladies Bowls Association (Women formed in 1960) amalgamated following the formation of Bowls Victoria, the union of the Royal Victorian Bowls Association and the Victorian Ladies Bowls Association in 2011, and we wish to acknowledge the history of those previous administrators and bowlers of from those associations.

The Central Bowls Division consists of 8 member clubs which have 520 members approximately and is one of three divisions along with the Goulburn Valley and the Murray Bowls Divisions who form the Central Goulburn Murray Bowls Region, which is a region that hosts 42 Clubs.

The 8 member clubs that form the Central Bowls Division are;

Alexandra, Broadford, Eildon, Kilmore, Seymour, Seymour VRI, Wallan and Yea

Visiting bowlers and new members are always most welcome.
